Giphy is an online database and search engine that allows users to search for and share short looping videos in tweets, Facebook posts, and Instagram messages.
According to Giphy, it has over 300 million daily users who share two billion GIFs every day. By having your content live within the Giphy library, and then tagged appropriately by categories, you can benefit by having your content live beyond your brand channels.
The two most significant benefits Giphy offers you are the ability to add emotion including humor to your post content. You can also add GIFs to replies through Giphy's native integration within Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Also, you get increased reach on social media by having your own branded GIFs live within the Giphy library.
Since Giphy enables you to upload content of your own, you can upload videos through your Giphy account, which are then converted into GIFs. Once these GIFs are active in the Giphy library, they will be accessible for use by anyone that's on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, even if they don't follow you, and also by Giphy's 300 million daily users as well. As seen here, the first step is to sign up for an account at giphy.com. Once you're signed up, you can access the Giphy library of content and browse by reactions, which are perfect for replies in conversation threads, or topics of interest, such as entertainment or sports.
To add content of your own, you can either upload videos from your computer or add a link from YouTube in which Giphy will convert the video file into an animated looping GIF. Also, you can make your GIFs from scratch with Giphy's built-in tool. Adding content of your own to Giphy is a hack, so use it, and increase social media reach for your brand without having to spend money on ads. But also leverage GIFs to add personality to your content and be more social.
2:Built-in Instagram and Snapchat tools
To thrive and grow on Instagram or Snapchat, you must engage your followers through visual content. Fortunately, both platforms offer you a variety of built-in filters, lenses, and features to make your content stand out or pop. In addition to lenses and filters, which visually enhance your content, both Instagram and Snapchat have built-in tools you can access which include: analytics and insights about your followers, import contacts from your mobile device, link to a website from Stories, or in the case of Instagram add your content to categories and locations.
Beginning with Snapchat, three key features you need to know are since discoverability is limited on Snapchat, you can quickly identify who you know on the platform by importing contacts straight from your mobile device contact directory. With lenses and filters, you can enhance the visual appeal of your content while also adding fun and humor to your snaps. Last, Snapchat allows you to link out of the platform and drive users to your website or a third party URL by pinning a link within your 10-second or less snap. Use this feature as you direct your viewers to swipe up and visit your site.
On Instagram, similar to Snapchat, you can add filters and access lenses within Instagram Stories or add filters to images when posting to your page feed. Additionally, within Instagram Stories, you can add locations and hashtags to expand the distribution reach of your content. Overall, Instagram offers you more features than Snapchat to improve your discoverability by non-followers such as using hashtags and locations in posts. Also, Instagram TV enables you to post video content beyond one minute to keep your followers and the Instagram community-engaged outside of Stories and standard posts.
Last, Instagram offers robust analytics which enables you to see where your followers live including demographic data. You don't have to be a graphic designer or experience as a creative to make your content stand out and be visually appealing thanks to the robust suite of tools that both Instagram and Snapchat offer.
3:Unfollow Instagram accounts who don’t follow back with Cleaner
While follow-for-follow-back tactics are ineffective for growing your presence on Instagram, following users who don't follow you back not only clutters your news feed, but it also prevents you from scaling your brand through users who are a mutual follow.
With the Cleaner app, you can clean up your Instagram feed with a few clicks by unfollowing accounts that don't follow you back or are inactive. The Cleaner app can be found in the iOS or Android app store. Once you've logged into your account, you will connect your Instagram account and see everyone that you follow. From here you can have Cleaner identify what users are inactive, have no profile photo, or don't follow you back. For each segment, you will have the Cleaner create a list and then have the option to unfollow 50 accounts at a time.
As a best practice, you should routinely audit your audience including who you follow. In today's noisy digital ecosystem, if someone you follow doesn't give you immense value or reciprocate by following back and engaging regularly, you should question what purpose do they have in your news feed?
4:Build custom ad audiences with Facebook Business Manager
Ever wonder how to get in front of Facebook users who subscribe to your email newsletter or are in your Customer Relationship Management tool? Better yet, if you've ever been curious how to get in front of Facebook users that don't follow your business page but follow the page of your direct competitors, including users who like specific topics or interests, Facebook custom audiences within Business Manager makes it possible to run targeted ads to these audiences. Before running ads on Facebook, you will want to create custom audience segments in the Facebook Business Manager tool.
With Facebook custom audiences, you can upload a CSV file containing email addresses of your newsletter subscribers or your customer list. You can also create interest-based audiences and reach Facebook users through ads based on what Facebook users like, including where they live, how old they are, and what language they speak. Creating a custom audience list is easy and only takes a few minutes. First, upload your CSV file email list to create a list based on existing customers of your company or prospects. Next, to create an interest-based list, choose the segment factors, such as gender, age, location, and language. Then, select interests to reach specific Facebook users who fit the criteria of the customer that you're trying to engage.
Once you create your preferred target audience, then you are ready to run Facebook ads. It's easy to throw money on Facebook if you aren't tactical with getting your brand content in front of a targeted audience. While Facebook's algorithm makes it difficult to stand out organically, Facebook ads give you access to virtually reach any Facebook user based on interests alone.
